      • The icon for Blackboard (Bb) is the first icon [Bb] in the horizontal row of icons above the picture on the ECU web page
      • Your Bb “user name” is your pirate ID or ECU Outlook e-mail account user name (typically your lastname and first initial Elizabeth Layman = laymane)
      • Your Bb “password” is your ECU Outlook e-mail account passphrase/password.

  • Course Management
    • Rosters
      • Bb courses are ‘populated’ with students 14 days prior to the start of a semester
      • Bb courses are updated from the registrar’s information at least once daily from 14 days prior to semester start through to the last day of ‘drop and add’ period
      • Bb courses are updated twice daily at 8:00 am and 4:00 pm from the first week of the semester through to the last day of ‘drop and add’ period.  At times during this period updating occurs three times daily
      • Printing Course Roster
        • Print Course Roster from One-Stop.  One-Stop is the fourth icon [“1” inside stop sign figure] on the row of icons above the picture on ECU’s web site.  Your Pirate ID and Passphrase are your  ECU Outlook e-mail account user name and password.  “Course Rosters” is the third item under “Courses” in the upper right hand corner of the One-Stop front page.
        • Be aware that the roster may change through last drop/add day per the University Calendar.
    • Submit Syllabus
      • Send an electronic version of your syllabus to Office Assistant, Jennifer Pitt (pittj@mail.ecu.edu).
      • If you are teaching multiple sections, indicate the section numbers on your syllabi.
      • Syllabi normally should state course behavioral objectives, session-by-session topics, reading requirements, and performance expectations of students.  There shall also be evidence within the syllabi that instructors regularly incorporate contemporary topics into course content.  See template.
    • Upload Syllabus, Calendar, Assignments, and Other Resources to Blackboard (Bb)
    • Create Tests and “Open” Them per Calendar
    • Go into Bb and Make Course “Available” to Students
    • Submit Grades to Registrar in One-Stop.  One-Stop is the fourth icon [“1” inside stop sign figure] on the row of icons above the picture on ECU’s web site.  Your Pirate ID and Passphrase are your  ECU Outlook e-mail account user name and password.  “Enter Final Course Grades” is the fourth item under “Courses” in the upper right hand corner of the One-Stop front page.
