NOTE: Due to projected changes in the certification requirements of the Council on Certification of the American Health Information Management Association, this bachelor's program will be discontinued.  The last semester for matriculation of part-time students into the bachelor's program is Fall 2010.  The last semester for matriculation of full-time students into the bachelor's program is Fall 2011.  Students should plan to complete this bachelor of science in health information management by May 2013.

Robert J. Campbell, EdD, CPEHR, Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Services and Information Management, received the Board of Governors Distinguished Professor for Teaching Award on April 26th, 2011. The Board of Governors Distinguished Professor for Teaching Award is designed to recognize and support excellent teaching at each of the 17 constituent universities in the UNC system. The recipients of these awards are recognized at variety of functions and have demonstrated excellent or exceptional teaching ability. Dr. Campbell is one of the six recipients at ECU this year.  Congratulations, Dr Campbell!

Robert J. Campbell, EdD, CPEHR, Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Services and Information Management, was one of the five finalists for the Max Ray Joyner Award for Faculty Service through Continuing Education on April 26th, 2011. The Max Ray Joyner Award honors an outstanding faculty member who has shown commitment and enthusiasm in teaching and mentoring off-campus students and who has demonstrated excellence in the delivery of course offered through Continuing Studies, distance education courses offered online or face-to face.
