NOTE: Due to projected changes in the certification requirements of the Council on Certification of the American Health Information Management Association, this bachelor's program will transition to a master's degree program.  The last semester for matriculation of part-time students into the bachelor's program is Fall 2010.  The last semester for matriculation of full-time students into the bachelor's program is Fall 2011.  Students should plan to complete this bachelor of science in health information management by May 2015.

Congratulations 2003 HIMA graduates! Of the eleven 2003 graduates, eight have already taken and passed their national registration examination. That's a 100% pass rate for those test takers! Congratulations new RHIAs!

ECU's grads have excelled on the national exam over the past six years. The pass rates for grads 1998 through 2003 were 89%, 100%, 94%, 100%, 100%, and 100% for an overall six-year pass rate of 96% with 100% pass rate for the past three years. Go Pirates!

Graduates of the Health Information Management program are eligible to sit for the national registration examination administered by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). The examination is offered on-line, on-demand, year round.
