The Hospital 

Vidant Medical Center is an affiliate of Vidant Health.  It is a Level I Trauma Center and houses 871 beds.  It serves the 29 counties east of I-95, which consist of approximately 1.2 million people.  There are an average of 37,000 inpatient and 266,000 outpatient visits per year.  There are more than 500 physicians and 1,200 nurses.
