In hosting this yearly event, we hope to provide a forum for discussion of research ideas and accomplishments and to promote professional interactions.

Faculty, staff, residents, fellows and students are encouraged to present their research or clinical vignettes with a poster or presentation.

A continental breakfast will be available beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Lunch follows the keynote address which begins at 11:00 a.m.


This year's keynote speaker is
W. Stratford May, Jr., MD, PhD
Dr. May is an internationally recognized cancer researcher in the areas of bone marrow transplant, signal transduction and apoptosis,  He became the first full-time University of Florida Shands Cancer Center (UFSCC) Director in 1999 and serves not only as the Harry F. Innes Professor in Cancer Research but also Chief of the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Florida College of Medicine. 

Dr. May has earned many awards and honors during his career for outstanding cancer research, including the Leukemia Society’s 50th Anniversary Award and 2003 Leadership Award.  Dr. May currently serves on the executive committee of the Florida Dialogue on Cancer and was appointed by Governor Jeb Bush to the Florida Cancer Council (2004-2006).
