Exempt and Expedited Proposals
When completing the research forms for an exempt or expedited category of research and resources in Pitt County Memorial Hospital or the Brody School of Medicine are to be used, the investigator is responsible for obtaining the appropriate signatures from PCMH and/or BSOM. The signatures must be attained on the designated portion of the research form for exempt proposals and on the Institutional Approval for research Form for expedited research submissions. These approvals should be attained prior to the exempt and expedited submissions being submitted to the UMCIRB office. Contact names and phone numbers of the representatives from each resource area are located on the forms.
