Collection Management is made up of cataloging/processing, serials, and stacks maintenance and student assistants management. Personnel include the Assistant Director, the Serials Coordinator, two Cataloging/Processing Technicians, and the Stack Maintenance/Student Assistant Supervisor. The cataloging/processing unit is responsible for classifying and cataloging all incoming Laupus Library materials and making these materials available for use by students, faculty, and staff; and maintaining the online catalog. The serials unit is responsible for all functions related to obtaining and making serials available in the Laupus Library. These include: ordering, preparing invoices, and checking-in journals, claiming unreceived issues, and maintaining holdings records in the online catalog. The stacks maintenance and student assistants unit is responsible for the arrangement and maintenance of all print materials including binding or physical replacement of worn and damaged materials. This unit is also responsible for the supervision of the Laupus Library’s student assistants.
