ECU faculty members may request library orientation or course-related library research
instruction for their classes. Instruction sessions are taught by Information Services
librarians who tailor the content to the specific class assignment and the students'
research needs. Instruction sessions can cover print sources, electronic databases,
the library catalog, and/or other similar topics. They can also include tips on formulating
effective search strategies and evaluating sources.
Most instruction sessions are held in the Laupus Library Classroom, Room 2502G. The
classroom provides students with the opportunity for hands-on learning.
If it is more convenient, arrangements can be made for a librarian to visit your classroom or lab. We can provide assistance with any of the library resources.
