The 4th Annual Faculty Author Recognition Awards program will honor faculty members for their published research and scholarly contributions to their area of study. The event will recognize faculty who have been published in books and peer reviewed journals between January 1, 2008 and June 30, 2009. It is our intent that this event continue to be an annual tradition that celebrates academic achievement.
The first Faculty Author Recognition program was held in 2005. The event recognized 66 authors who submitted a total of 144 items. The second ceremony recognized 113 authors who submitted more than 500 publications. The 2008 program included 158 entries, with 59 individual authors being recognized. The bibliographies for the previous programs are available below. ECU faculty are shown in bold font.
Only current faculty in ECU's Division of Health Sciences are eligible to register.
Publications must have been published while the author was employed by ECU, except for faculty who are in their first year of employment at ECU. (first year faculty status must be indicated on the registration form)
Publications must have been published or released during the period January 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009.
Authors must have been published in books or book chapters, or peer reviewed journals. Peer reviewed journals will be confirmed using "Ulrich's Periodicals Directory". Published abstracts, letters and comments to the editor, non-peer reviewed newsletters and/or similar works will not be eligible.
Publications must be submitted before September 15, 2009 to be included for recognition.
