How Do I Find Out if a Book, Journal, etc. is in the Library?

1.  First, go to the main Laupus Library webpage, http://www.ecu.edu/laupuslibrary/
2.  Now, click on the link that says, “Library Catalog.” It’s located under the “Library Resources” section.
3.  Once you are in the catalog, you can search by author, title, journal title, keyword, etc. by using the drop-box located on the page.
4.  Journals are shelved in alphabetical order by title and are located on the 3rd floor of the library.  Books are shelved by call number and are mostly on the 3rd floor of the library.

If you are searching for models, videos, DVD’s, etc….

1.  Run a search as you normally would.
2.  Once you have a list of results, you can limit to “Coll: HSL Audiovisuals” by using the limit option near the top right hand side of the screen. NOTE: You can also limit to “Media: Videos, DVD’s, films, slides, etc.” It is located near the bottom of options in the drop-box.

3.  Now, you will have a list of resources from our audiovisual collection which is located behind the service desk at Laupus Library.  You will need the call number to find the items when you get to the library.
