Finding Full Text HelpSheet [download/view pdf]

  1. First, go to the main Laupus Library webpage, http://www.ecu.edu/laupuslibrary/
  2. Now, click on the link that says "Find Full Text Articles." (It is located under the heading, "Electronic Resources.")
  3. Fill in the boxes for Journal Title, Volume, Issue (if you have it), and Page Number.
  4. Click on the "Find it!" button located under the form.image004
  5. If online full text is available, you should be taken directly to either the article or a list of volumes for the journal. You will need to look at your citation to select the correct year and volume and issue. (NOTE: If the page comes up and you don’t see full text, or there is an error message, click the link at the top of the page that says, "Missing article? Need more sources? Get additional resources related to this.")
  6. If the there is no online full text available or you clicked on the "Get additional resources" link, you will be taken to a page with several links. (See picture below). If you see more than one link that says "article" click there. Or click on the link that says "Search Laupus Health Sciences Catalog."

  8. If the journal is not available at Laupus, repeat the process by clicking on the link that says, "Search Joyner Library Catalog." Make sure to check for the appropriate volume and issue.
