Why is there a time limit on canceling a request?
Requests are processed as soon as possible after your submission. Once a request is
processed, it is usually too late to cancel the request without incurring a charge.

You can cancel your request by logging into your ILLiad account or by calling the
Document Delivery office at 252-744-1444.
If there is a charge, can I pay via credit card?
Yes, you will need to call or come to the library with your credit card information and an
official ID (Driver’s License, etc..) to process payment.
How do I return books that you send to me?
Return them in the mail to: Interlibrary Loan, Laupus Library, 2540 Health Sciences
Bldg., East Carolina University,600 Moye Blvd., Greenville, NC 27838-4354.
They can also be returned via campus mail.
Where is the stuff I ordered?
You can check the status of a request by logging into your ILLiad account. You can also
call the Document Delivery department at 252-744-1444.
What do I put in the "Account Number" field of the ILLiad registration form?
If you are charging to an ECU department, you will need to put INVOICE in this field. We
will then invoice your department once a month for the requests that you have placed.
All others should call the Document Delivery department at 252-744-1444 for
further instructions.
I forgot my password. Can you tell me what it is?
No, but we can reset it to a generic password for you. Just call the Document Delivery
department at 252-744-1444.
How do I renew a book that I requested through ILL Borrowing?
All interlibrary loan renewals are made at the discretion of the lending library. You can
request a renewal by calling the Document Delivery office at 252-744-1444.
I heard that you can get articles for free from the library. Is this true?
