We are currently looking for Class Agents for the classes of '83, '88, '93, '98, '03, '08 and '13. The class agent is a volunteer position responsible for providing leadership to classmates, encouraging Reunion attendance and leading the fundraising efforts of "The Class Challenge." We ask you, as class agents, to lead by setting a class fundraising goal and inviting your classmates to participate. We also encourage you to gather and celebrate with your classmates in the years you do not mark a five-year milestone. If you’re interested in learning more about being a class agent, contact Jeff McPherson at email@example.com or 252-744-3231.
The Class Challenge was started in 2015 by the classes celebrating milestone anniversaries as an effort to raise money to support student scholarships at the Brody School of Medicine. In its first three years, the challenge has raised over $100,000 to support our Brody School of Medicine medical students.
Your participation in this challenge will impact the lives of future students at the Brody School of Medicine. The amounts raised by each class will be announced at the Reunion Alumni Dinner and a check for the cumulative amount raised will be presented by the class agents to the Dean of the medical school. Gifts may be designated to the BSOM General Scholarship Fund or to a fund of your choosing.
For more information on "The Class Challenge," contact Jeff McPherson at firstname.lastname@example.org or 252-744-3231.
Brody's Help Our Students Travel program connects Brody SOM students with alumni during their residency interview process. Hosts work to ease the financial burden and stress of the interview process by opening their homes as well as offering helpful advice regarding residency training, the prospective medical center and community for which they are interviewing.
