type.cast is an art and literary publication of The Brody School of Medicine. type.cast is a venue to display the creative talents of BSOM's medical students. Founded and run by medical students type.cast has enhanced the cultural climate of The Brody School of Medicine and we hope it will be a lasting tradition.

Selection Process

• All submissions will be blinded: Student names will be removed and a number will be attached to the student’s entry.
  
• Entries will be judged on artistic and literary merit, creativity and originality.
  
• Work will be reviewed for selection by an advisory committee of 4 faculty members from the Literature and Art Departments of ECU as well as the Art and Literary Editors of type.cast.
  
• The selection process will be made by February 2008.
  
• Students will be notified whether or not their work has been selected for publication in type.cast via e-mail.
  
• type.cast Issue No. 2 will be distributed in May 2008.
