Personal Counseling for Medical Students
Training in the medical and healthcare fields is extremely stressful. Students in this academic arena experience many unique hurdles that may challenge success. The time dedicated to achieving professional and academic goals may require learning new problem solving skills. To aid in the development of these skills, confidential personal counseling and psychiatric services are provided to students to assess sources of stress, facilitate personal and academic growth, develop improved coping strategies, and serve as an advocacy service for students.

Personal counseling services for medical students are provided by ECU Physicians Psychiatric Outpatient Center located at 905 Johns Hopkins Drive in Greenville, NC 27834. Office hours are from 8:00AM-5:00PM each day with other times also available to fit students’ schedules. • depression
