Financial Aid:
The Higher Education Act (HEA) of 1992 mandates that a student can generally receive financial aid for study abroad if the student is enrolled in a program approved by the sending institution "without regard to whether the study abroad program is required as a part of the student's degree". However, a given student may not receive any additional financial aid for international rotation expenses that exceed their total cost of attendance.

As an integral part of the planning process, students who undertake international rotations must speak with financial aid personnel, who will assist in determining what impact (if any) such rotation(s) may or may not have on existing and/or future financial aid. A signature from a financial aid person must be obtained, verifying that this meeting has taken place and that the student has discussed all aspects of financial aid and how it may be impacted by the rotation.
