• AMA ISTEP Collaborative Project: an educational research collaborative whereby 27 US medical schools, supported by the American Medical Association, work together on specific projects to connect the physician training process with patient care outcomes
• Curriculum Development in Geriatric Rehabilitation: a two year residency education project funded by the American Geriatrics Society (AGS)
• Ethnogeriatrics and Medical Education: a pilot project funded by the American Medical Student Association (AMSA); this project ended September 30, 2007 
• Integrated Population Health Prevention Curriculum: a two year comprehensive curriculum development project funded by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC)
• Sound Physician Prescribing Practices: a longitudinal educational research project involving medical students and resident physicians, funded by the American Medical Association (AMA)
• Spirituality and Medicine: a four year project funded by the GWish Foundation, Washington, DC
