Eric J. Bailey PhD, MPHEric J. Bailey’s has broad-based research experience in several chronic diseases including hypertension, overweight & obesity, diabetes, prenatal care, cancer, alternative medicine, HIV/AIDS, physical fitness and has published research findings in scholarly journals and lectured for the past 25 years on issues related to medical anthropology, multicultural and multiethnic health care issues, health disparities, alternative medicine, community health, government public health, culturally-competent health care programs and global health programs. Dr. Bailey has recently published his latest book entitled, “Food Choice and Obesity in Black America: Creating A New Cultural Diet.” His teaching interests include medical anthropology, cultural anthropology, behavioral science, qualitative research, global health, African American health, ethnic health and health disparities, and culturally-competent health care interventions. He currently serves as a core faculty member in the Masters of Public Health program.
