CURRICULUM AND TYPICAL SCHEDULE

 

The Nephrology Fellowship Training Program is a fully accredited two-year training program. The program is clinically oriented and is characterized by a strong educational commitment and research opportunities.

The Nephrology Training Program includes weekly conferences - Core Conference, Case Conference, Transplant and Department of Internal Medicine Grand Rounds.

Monthly conferences include Nephrology Grand Rounds, Journal Club, Didactic Fellow's Pathology Conference, Renal Biopsy Conference and ECU Transplant Surgery Conference.

Renal Care Committee Meetings are quarterly.

An annual research day is coordinated in the spring of each year by the Department of Internal Medicine.  Fellows are required to present at least once during their two years.
