Congratulations! The Membership & Chapters Committee is pleased to inform you that the Eastern Carolina Chapter’s proposal for the spring 2007 Society for Neuroscience Chapter Grant has been approved and will be funded at $2000.00. You will receive a check from the Society for Neuroscience within 45 days.
It is important that you spend the money according to what was outlined in your chapter’s proposal. A financial and project report, with return of any unused funds, will be due to the Membership & Chapters Department no later than 30 days after your chapter’s event. You will be periodically contacted for updates.
Membership & Chapters Committee members may visit chapters during funded events to monitor success, particularly for chapters with new initiatives. Feel free to contact the Membership & Chapters Department with any questions at chapters@sfn.org.

The ECCFSN Chapter Receives 2007 Grass Traveling Scientist Program
Dear Dr. Murashov:
It is my pleasure to inform you that the Eastern Carolina Chapter’s request for the spring 2007 Grass Traveling Scientist Program has been approved. Attached to this e-mail, you will find a Lecture Confirmation Form and a Program Report Guide.
As a recipient of the Grass Traveling Scientist Program, your chapter will receive a stipend of $1200. This stipend includes an honorarium of $300.00. Chapters are responsible for paying for the lecturer’s honorarium and travel expenses. Any additional funds may be used toward the costs of hosting the lecture.
