Office of Student Services and Academic Advising

The College of Nursing Office of Student Services is located on the second floor of the Health Sciences Building. Our mission is to support all nursing students throughout their careers at ECU. We house the College of Nursing Student Advising Center and manage a variety of student services, including:

  • Assisting prospective and current students
  • Tracking student clinical compliance
  • Managing the admission and application processes
  • Facilitating testing accommodations for students with disabilities
  • Making course drop/add changes
  • Coordinating graduation requirements

Our office is also home to personnel who provide support for multiple faculty and program areas within the college. Student Services personnel are responsible for tasks such as making room reservations and assisting faculty with registration preparations related to nursing course and section planning.

We are here to help! If you need something and don't know who to ask or where to go, call or stop by and ask us.

College of Nursing Student Advising Center

The College of Nursing Student Advising Center, located in 2150 Health Sciences Building, serves declared nursing majors, transfer students and accelerated second-degree BSN nursing students.

The East Campus Academic Advising Center provides academic advising for freshmen and sophomore students.

Our mission is to support students by partnering with academic departments and student support services to promote diverse educational experiences and to foster professional success and responsible citizenship. We believe that academic advising is a process that supports students as they clarify their life goals and make choices regarding educational programs that will help them to realize these goals.

Students are encouraged to meet with their academic adviser as often as possible in order to better establish free and open lines of communication. Advisers are interested in becoming acquainted with students as individuals in addition to assisting with academic questions on topics such as:

  • Registration
  • Course drop and add procedures
  • Graduation requirements

Although students are assigned to a specific adviser, they may see anyone in the center upon request. Appointments are available Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
