Take Off 4-Health Healthy Lifestyle Camp

Building on the success of our 2007 summer camp, Camp Golden Treasures, the ECU Pediatric Healthy Weight Research and Treatment Center is now partnering with North Carolina 4-H and NC State University to sponsor Take Off 4-Health. Take Off 4-Health is a healthy lifestyle camp for overweight boys and girls ages 12 to 18. The three-week residential camp will be held from July 27-August 15, 2008 at the Eastern 4-H Center in Columbia, NC.

Take Off 4-Health will help campers lose weight, build self esteem and learn the tools necessary to lead a healthy life and reduce their risks of developing chronic disease. Enrollment is limited to 30-60 youth. The cost, which includes all meals, activities and lodging, is $1,950 for the three-week program.

To view photographs of the Eastern 4-H Center, visit their web site at "http://www.eastern4hcenter.org/".
