Special infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit are enrolled in this clinic prior to their discharge from the hospital.
Joan Wilson, the clinic coordinator, contacts parents as the child approaches 6 months of age. Parents are mailed their tentative appointment date so their child can be seen for follow up by our clinic team. If medical record release forms were not completed prior to discharge, parents will receive the forms in the mail with a self addressed stamped envelope to be returned to the clinic office.
If parents have questions or concerns about their child's development before or between visits, they can call (252) 744-4911.
If a child was not born at Pitt County Memorial Hospital and meets clinic criteria, please have the child's pediatrician or discharging hospital contact the clinic coordinator with the child's information for consideration for the Neonatal Follow Up Clinic. If a child is found eligible, the referring pediatrician and parents will be informed.
