Register Now for ECU's Newest Weight Loss Camp for Kids: Take Off 4-Health!

Building on the success of our 2007 summer camp, Camp Golden Treasures, ECU is now partnering with North Carolina 4-H and NC State University to sponsor Take Off 4-Health. Take Off 4-Health is a healthy lifestyle camp for overweight boys and girls ages 12 to 18. The three-week residential camp will be held from July 27-August 15, 2008 at the Eastern 4-H Center in Columbia, NC. For more information and to register, visit our Camp Programs.

 

 

PHWRTC Receives Top Honors from the National Initiative of Children's Healthcare Quality

The PHWRTC was selected by the National Initiative for Children's Healthcare Quality (NICHQ) as one of three winners of the National Recognition Award for Health Care Programs Addressing Childhood Obesity. The award was presented at the NICHQ national conference in Miami, Florida in March 2008. At the conference, the PHWRTC made a presentation to the National Childhood Obesity Congress explaining how the program addresses psychological and behavioral issues to fill a critical gap in the care of families struggling with obesity.
