Programs & Activities > Camp Programs Building on the success of its 2007 summer camp, Camp Golden Treasures, East Carolina University has joined with one of the state’s premier youth organizations, North Carolina 4-H, and North Carolina State University to sponsor Take Off 4-Health. Take Off 4-Health is a healthy lifestyle camp for overweight boys and girls ages 12-18. The 3-week residential camp will be held at the beautiful Eastern 4-H Center in Columbia, NC and will be supported by the ECU Brody School of Medicine. Take Off 4-Health will help campers lose weight, build self esteem and learn the tools necessary to lead a healthy life and reduce their risks of developing chronic disease.
