Common Concerns The Personal Counseling Center provides supportive counseling to all Division of Health Sciences students and medical residents. Direct counseling services are designed to reduce the impact of academic, social and developmental issues as well as serious psychological problems. Common issues for which students seek assistance include:
- dealing with a crisis (e.g., a broken relationship or the death of a loved one)
- academic performance
- poor self-confidence
- stress and anxiety
- sexual concerns
- relationship/ family issues
- eating disorders
- depression
- self-defeating behaviors
- personal growth
