Education

B.S. – Chestnut Hill College, biology and environmental science

M.S. – University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine, Pathobiology

Ph.D. – Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Joint Graduate Program in Toxicology, neuro- and environmental toxicology

Post-Doctoral Fellowship – Children's Hospital of Philadelphia/University of Pennsylvania

Research Interests

My particular interests lie in environmental toxicology and the mechanism(s) by which exposure to environmental agents are correlated with disease. I have studied ROS-producing agents, namely pesticides, as they relate to mitochondrial function, cell signaling, apoptosis, and disease progression. In addition, I am interested in the role of pesticide exposure in diabetes and obesity.
