Research Interests

As a Teaching Assistant Professor, my primary research interest lies in understanding the teaching and learning experience. Here are the key goals:

  1. Development and standardization of novel metrics to quantitatively and qualitatively measure student-learning outcomes at both the program and institutional level.
  2. Development, implementation and assessment of innovative teaching tools & strategies in the education of health professionals.
  3. Development, implementation and assessment of strategies in the recruitment and retention of minority students in postsecondary education.

Also, my doctoral training and additional research interests focus on pharmacokinetics, particularly drug metabolism, transport, and elimination.
