Welcome to the Office of Prospective Health
 
The primary mission of the Office of Prospective Health is to provide quality health and safety services to all employees of East Carolina University. We work in collaboration with the Office of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) to ensure the safety of all ECU personnel. Our goal is to ensure that ECU is in compliance with state and federal regulations related to these activities:
 
Mandatory Protocols for the following services:
Details on our vaccination program can be found on the CIPP website at http://www.ecu.edu/cs-dhs/cipp/including the procedure for receiving and documenting your vaccination, schedules for immunization clinics, vaccine information sheets, forms for consent for vaccination, exception forms, frequently asked questions, and other details. If you have additional questions after visiting this website, they can be emailed to fluvaccine@ecu.edu. 
 
Blood Exposures
  • If you have a blood exposure you must call 744-2070 ASAP for instructions and an appointment. 

Employee Injuries

  • ALL employee injuries must be reported to Donna Davis at 328-6166. If you need medical attention, Donna Davis will make an appointment for you to be seen in our office. 
TB Skin Test (PPD)
  • New employees - Receive ppd during new hire employee orientation
  • Current employees - Each ECU department is scheduled during the year for PPD testing.  Please wait and attend during your department's scheduled time for your PPD.  
  • If you require a PPD other than the times listed above, please call 744-2070 to schedule an appointment.
Bloodborne Pathogen Mandatory Online Testing (BBP/TB)
  • New employees - Receive BBP/TB mandatory training during new hire employee orientation 
  • Current employeesEach ECU department is scheduled during the year for BBP/TB mandatory testing.  Please wait and complete during your department's scheduled time for BBP/TB testing.   
  • Not listed on Blackboard - If your BBP/TB training is not listed on your Blackboard site, please email Nikki Page your name, email address and request to be added.  (pagen@ecu.edu)
  • Training Certificate - Email for your BBP/TB training certificate.  Your certificate will be sent within 2 weeks.

Fit Testing

  • It is mandatory that you please call 744-2070 to schedule a time for your fit test
