The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine's Health Psychology Service is pleased to provide the following services to the Eastern North Carolina Region:

Weight Loss Surgery (WLS)

  • Psychological Consultation for Weight Loss Surgery (WLS)
  • Adjustment to surgery group program for WLS. Five-session program.
  • Individual Behavioral Weight Management (pre- and post- surgery) for WLS patients

Organ Transplantation

  • Psychological Consultation for Organ Transplantation
  • Psychological Consultation for Organ Donation

Hepatitis C (HCV)

  • Psychological Consultation for HCV Treatment
  • Individual treatment for HCV patients coping with treatment

Cancer

  • Psychological Consultation and Intervention for Cancer Management

HIV/AIDS

  • Psychological Consultation and Interventions for HIV/AIDS Management
  • Intervention for adjustment to diagnosis, adherence to treatment, and quality of life concerns

Spinal Cord Stimulator (SCS) Implantation

Chronic Pain
