Fellows Education Series
8am-9am, Wednesdays
This 6-month-long lecture series will take place every week by Pulmonary/Critical Care faculty as well as faculty and staff in other departments. The objective is to cover basic knowledge and procedures that will fellows will encounter during their training.
Pulmonary Grand Rounds (CME)
8am-9am, Wednesdays
Pulmonary faculty as well as renowned national outside speakers present on pulmonary, critical care, sleep, allergy, and other related topics. The objective is to cover state-of-the-art aspects of our specialty with emphasis on controversies, future directions, etc.
Clinical Case Conference
7:30am-8:30am
First and third Tuesdays of every month
Pulmonary faculty and fellows present cases followed by discussion.
Clinical-Radiology-Pathology Case Conference
7:30am – 8:30am
Fourth Tuesday of every month
Pulmonary fellows with radiology and pathology faculty present cases and discuss multidisciplinary management issues; conference is quite interactive and lively.
Research-in-Progress Conference
7:30am-8:30am
Second Tuesday of every month
Pulmonary faculty and fellows present on ongoing research followed by discussion.
Critical Care Journal Club
4:00-5:00pm, Thursdays
Fellows and faculty discuss critical care journal articles; emphasis is on study design, methodology, art of reading articles, and being able to pick up on methodological flaws, etc. Articles are current and tend to be thematic.
Pulmonary Journal Club
6:30pm-until
Monthly, usually the last Thursday
Fellows, with a faculty mentor, discuss a pulmonary journal article in a social dinner setting.
