Vocational Evaluation Summer Institute 2006

Eleven vocational evaluators from North Carolina participated in the annual Summer Institute at East Carolina University. The participants learned the basics of how to conduct a vocational evaluation through completion of an introductory course. This was in combination with a practicum experience that provided hands on learning in the new Vocational Evaluation/Career Assessment Lab. In addition, the students visited local state and community rehabilitation programs to learn how evaluation is practiced in different settings. Those who participated full time earned 6 graduate hours. Next year’s Summer Institute is scheduled to begin on May 14, 2007. For more information contact Dr. Steven Sligar
