Research Activities and Interests

Molecular cell biology has been an import part of my research. I am interested in several cellular processes including cell division, intracellular transport, polarity, morphogenesis and motility. Recent years, I am focusing on one group of kinesin motor protein, named c-terminal kinesin motor protein. Our research indicates that the function of these proteins is related to spindle formation and vesicle transport. The mechanism by which motors and microtubule mediate these all-cellular processes is being further investigated.
