Carotid arteries are located in the human neck and carry blood to the brain. Narrowing of these arteries can lead to serious health complications. Strokes are the main health risk one encounters with carotid artery blockage. High fat diets, smoking and heredity are the causes of carotid artery disease.

• Doppler/Duplex (sound waves)
• CT(x-rays)
• Angiography( dye liquid to show blockage)
• DSA/MRA (computers used to take pictures)
