Distance Learning

The Telemedicine Center's videoconferencing network is also used for distance education,including grand rounds, lectures, and seminars. Many of the telemedicine sites have videoconferencing-enabled conference rooms.

The Center is also connected to the North Carolina Research and Education Network (NCREN) and North Carolina Information Highway (NCIH) networks, which expands the access to health sciences education.  A health sciences distance education program schedule is available at the ECU Center for Health Sciences Communication web site. Continuing medical education (CME) credit can be obtained for many distance learning activities through the Office of Continuing Medical Education.
