Ground Rules/Operating Assumptions
  • This is a volunteer effort. As such, organizations can choose to participate at will and contribute to the effort as they see fit. Any expenses related to an organization’s/institution’s participation (e.g. telecommunications) are the responsibility of said organization. The live (interactive) broadcast will be limited to sites with interactive capability.
  • Digitized video of the presentations themselves and the slides (converted to pdf) will be posted on web site. By agreeing to deliver a presentation, the presenter and the presenting organization agrees to allow the video and slides from said grand rounds presentation to be posted to the grand rounds web site. Therefore, presenters should not include proprietary or sensitive materials in their presentations.
  • The nominal schedule is the 3rd Tuesday of every month from 3:30-4:30 EST (with exceptions for national telehealth meetings and holidays). A schedule will be posted to the grand rounds web site.
  • The North Carolina Research and Education Network (NCREN) MCU will serve as the central hub for our grand rounds sessions. Participating organizations are encouraged to further distribute the rounds to sites in their networks via their own MCU’s.
