Cell phone registration is done through OneStop and is voluntary. There is no charge from ECU for this service; however, if your cell phone plan includes a fee for receiving text messages you agree to incur this charge when you sign up for text messages from ECU Alert. No advertising is sent through the ECU Alert System.

Register Your Cell
Students, staff, faculty, family, and community members may register to receive ECU emergency notices via text message on a cell phone. Please follow the links below for instructions.
Cell phone numbers are not added to the system automatically due to processing time involved.
Parent/Family Note: If your email address or cell phone number has changed, or if you no longer wish to receive messages, please send an email to
ecualertinfo@ecu.edu. Please also note that families will not be sent messages about weather-related delays or closings, and will only be notified about major emergency situations.
