The event will begin with presentations by Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, Urban Bush Women and John O. Perpener, author/historian followed by a discussion guided by ECU faculty members, Dr. Marame Gueye, Department of English and Dr. Linda Kean, School of Communication. RSVP by Sept. 28 to Downtown Dialogues on the Humanities. Downtown Dialogues on the Humanities has three main objectives: to highlight the relevance of the humanities to Eastern North Carolina, to showcase new research in the humanities and fine arts at ECU, and to promote communication and collaboration amongst humanities scholars and artists. These events are organized by the Downtown Dialogues Advisory Council and sponsored by the Division of Research and Graduate Studies at ECU. |
