| Summary: | Take a musical journey featuring Haitian-born New York-based violinist/composer Daniel Bernard Roumain (DBR) and N.C.’s acclaimed singer/songwriter Laurelyn Dossett. DBR, Dossett and their band perform their North Carolina-inspired collaboration, The Collide. |

Dossett performed her commissioned work, "Six Songs for Winter," with the North Carolina Symphony in 2011. DBR’s collaborations span the worlds of Philip Glass, Cassandra Wilson, Savion Glover and Lady Gaga.
This project was commissioned by NCSU, Davidson College, UNCW, the S. Rudolph Alexander Performing Arts Series, and Appalachian State University. Additional support is provided by the N.C. Arts Council, a division of the Department of Cultural Resources, with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts; by South Arts in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and the NC Arts Council; and the ECU Office of Equity, Diversity and Community Relations.
