| Summary: | A Readers' Theater performance and discussion of the short story, "Fetishes" by Richard Selzer, adapted for readers' theater by Greg Watkins, will be presented by students and faculty from the Brody School of Medicine and College of Nursing. |
| Details: |
“Fetishes” by Richard Selzer tells of a woman who has never informed her husband about her false teeth and now must remove them to undergo surgery. She deals with the differing personalities of several physicians in seeking a solution to her dilemma.
In Readers’ Theater, the performers read from scripts and do only a small amount of moving about the stage. Like radio dramas, much is left to the listener’s imagination. These performances are part of an on-going Readers’ Theater program sponsored by the Department of Bioethics and Interdisciplinary Studies at ECU’s Brody School of Medicine, the ECU College of Nursing, and ECU Department of Student Involvement & Leadership. |
