Title: The Making of the 1633, 'Poems, by J.D. with Elegies on the Author's Death;' An Illustrated Detective Story'

Summary: Dr. Gary A. Stringer, visiting professor of English and 2012 David Julian and Virginia Suther Whichard Distinguished Professor in the Humanities, will give a free, public lecture examining the first collected edition of poems by John Donne, one of the most important volumes of poems every published in English.

A reception will immediately follow the lecture in the foyer of the Bate Building.
