The Office of Student Transitions and First Year Programs provides programs and services to ease new students in their transition to East Carolina University, and New Student Orientation is one program we offer. It will help you get started on the right foot as you begin at East Carolina by giving you tools for academic success, helping you feel comfortable in the college environment, and assisting you through the class registration process.
Saturday 7/7/2012 - Friday 7/13/2012
The daily schedule includes private lessons (small master classes) and group repertory classes for all levels from book 1 through advanced, arranged according to level and age. The program is designed with the understanding that parents will be involved, as they are at home, with lessons, practice, and the general supervision of their children.

The ECU Summer Guitar Festival is open to students of all skill levels who wish to acquire or improve skills on the classical guitar. The artist-faculty, which consists of world-class concert artists and teachers, draws talented students from across the U.S. and abroad as well as from North Carolina. Area concertgoers can also hear these gifted musicians perform in recital during the workshop.

Shelton Leadership Challenge @ ECU is a six-day residential experience to help high school students expand their knowledge and skills of what it takes to be a leader.
