ECU's Entrepreneurial Initiative, in partnership with the North Carolina Eastern Region and the North Carolina Biotechnology Center are co-hosting the Eastern North Carolina Entrepreneurship Summit. The event offers two tracks, one directed to entrepreneurs and the other directed to municipal leaders supportive of community and economic development built around new home-grown business development.

Dr. Louise Leakey will present the Premier Lecture, "Secrets in the Sands: Revelations Into How We Became Human," as part of the Voyages of Discovery lecture series. Leakey is a paleontologist, conservationist and explorer-in-residence at National Geographic.
