Dr. Gary A. Stringer, visiting professor of English and 2012 David Julian and Virginia Suther Whichard Distinguished Professor in the Humanities, will give a free, public lecture examining the first collected edition of poems by John Donne, one of the most important volumes of poems every published in English.

Empty Bowls is an international grassroots effort to raise money to combat hunger while reminding participants of all the empty bowls in the world. Guests purchase $15 tickets for a meal of soup and bread, along with a handmade bowl.
