Join the ECU School of Music in a celebration of Black History Month with "A Tribute to Motown," featuring vocalists Ronee Martin and Christie Dashiell, and Carroll V. Dashiell Jr., bass and music director, performing Motown classics including "Respect," "Dr. Feel Good," "Dancin’ in the Street," "My Girl" and others.

ECU hosts the popular Foreign Policy Association’s Great Decisions Program through March 9. The program, now in its ninth year at ECU and co-sponsored by the World Affairs Council of Eastern North Carolina, will run for consecutive Saturdays through March 9. Sessions will be held from 10 a.m. to noon in the Rivers West Building auditorium on the ECU campus.

The ECU Organization of African American staff presents A Red Carpet Affair dinner banquet and awards celebration. WITN-TV news anchor Lynnette Taylor will keynote the event, which will include a two-hour program honoring achievements of African-Americans in the ECU community.

The School of Music will present a free Four Seasons Next Generation concert featuring violinist Hagai Shaham; former ECU Student Andrew Minguez, viola; J. Christopher Buddo, double bass; Ara Gregorian, violin; Emanuel Gruber, cello; Hye-Jin Kim, violin; Melissa Reardon, viola; and Keiko Sekino, piano in concert in A.J. Fletcher Recital Hall.

The Ethnic Film Studies Series will screen "A Separation," an Iranian film in Persian with English subtitles. Mona Russell will introduce the film. Free and open to ECU faculty, staff and students.
