| Summary: | Greenville will swing and sway Nov. 18 when the Emerald City Big Band and the Tar River Swing Band take the stage at the ECU School of Music for a big band double bill featuring the music of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra, Count Basie, Arturo Sandoval, Peggy Lee, Maynard Ferguson and Stan Kenton. Proceeds will benefit jazz scholarships. |

On Nov. 18, two of North Carolina’s leading jazz big bands will perform in concert at Fletcher Recital Hall at East Carolina University School of Music. Proceeds will support scholarships for ECU jazz students.
The Tar River Swing Band, directed by Jonathan Wacker, and the Emerald City Big Band, directed by Danny Wunker, will perform a concert of big band jazz from the 1940’s up to the present.
“If you like the music of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra, Count Basie, Arturo Sandoval, Peggy Lee, Maynard Ferguson and Stan Kenton, then you won’t want to miss this concert,” said Wacker.
