ECU Winter Break: Employees Use Accrued Leave1

Operations Open (Regular Pay Provided. No additional compensation for working these days)


1 University on Winter Break--employees choose option of using annual leave, bonus leave, comp time, or unpaid leave. Option must be selected by December 8th.

**University Veterans Day Observance. See note 2 below for Clinic/CSS employee schedule.

2 Clinic/CSS employees have a floating holiday in lieu of Veterans Day to be used between Nov 11th and Dec 31st with supervisory approval.

Some employees must work on holidays/closings to meet operational needs. Refer to appropriate University compensation policy during holidays/closings for additional information.

Employees may request leave for major religious observances. Such leave must be charged to vacation, bonus, compensatory time, or unpaid leave. Supervisors are expected to arrange work schedules so the employees can take leave if the day is a major religious observance for them and the leave does not create an emergency situation in the department.
