Drs. Rhodes and Schmidt Recognized at National Adult Education Conference

Dr. Christy Rhodes, East Carolina University assistant professor of adult education, was recognized for her work as conference chair of the 2017 American Association for Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE) conference. This year’s conferece was held in Memphis, Tennesse, from Oct. 30 through Nov. 3. Rhodes was the first non-AAACE Board of Directors member to serve as conference chair (a role previously held by the organization’s president-elect). East Carolina University’s 2017 Homecoming is this Saturday, Oct. 21, and we at the College of Education are preparing for our annual Breakfast on the Porch! All College of Education students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to join us for breakfast on the front porch of Speight Building from 8:30-10 a.m as we celebrate ECU and watch the homecoming parade march down Fifth Street. ECU College of Education hosts Annual Ceremony to Honor Scholarship Recipients, Donors

Video Slideshow from Donor and Scholarship Recipient Ceremony More than 100 students in the East Carolina University College of Education received a record amount of scholarship support for the upcoming academic year. For the 2017-18 academic year, more than $582,000 in merit and need-based scholarships were distributed to 102 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral education students.
