Chairs' Welcome

On behalf of the faculty and staff, welcome to the Department of Educational Leadership home page.  The Department of Educational Leadership offers three degrees and associated North Carolina licenses that prepare individuals to assume leadership roles in schools.  The Department has a long-standing partnership with 38 local school districts in North Carolina resulting in a collaborative approach to leadership preparation.  Our outstanding faculty possess a wealth of knowledge regarding the preparation of school leaders.  The instruction of course content, early field experiences, and year-long internship is a unique blend of theory and practice focused on producing individuals who are scholarly  practitioners equipped with the skills and dispositions to resolve complex educational problems of practice.
