It is the responsibility of all teachers to see that students, including English Language Learners (ELLs), receive equal access to the classroom curriculum. To prepare teachers for working with English Language Learners, the East Carolina University Department of Curriculum and Instruction offers ELL classroom modules to supplement our teacher education programs.  The lectures are delivered on a variety of topics, including: second language acquisition, teaching methodology for the second language learner, content based instruction, assessment and the legal responsibilities of serving ELL students. The resources found through the links on this page are intended to provide additional material for teachers in training and those already in the field.  Click on the naviagtion bars on the left side of the page to explore.
